Teaching Experience

American Youth Dance Theatre, New York

I teach ballet, pointe, musical theatre jazz, and creative movement classes for students aged 3-18. I also led a workshop focused on acting skills for dancers in the school’s summer intensive.

Allegro Arts Academy, New Jersey

I teach ballet, jazz, and musical theatre to students on the studio’s competition dance team.

 

Iona University, New Rochelle, NY

As part of the 2022 dance symposium, I offered a musical theatre jazz workshop to undergraduate dancers. We explored the historical context of the dance form, followed by a jazz technique class and musical theatre combination focused on acting through dance.

American Ballet Theatre JKO School, New York

Duties include demonstrating combinations, assisting students with questions, and helping control the flow of the class.

Sampul Dance Academy, Los Angeles

Duties included teaching all levels of ballet, jazz, musical theatre, pointe, lyrical, and creative movement classes for competitive and recreational students aged 18 months to adult. I designed the musical theatre curriculum, directed and choreographed performances, and assisted at dance competitions.

 

United Children’s Learning Academy, North Hollywood, CA

I taught creative movement, pre-ballet, and pre-tap to students aged 2-5 and choreographed and organized biannual performances.

One Step Above Dance Studio, Bloomington, IN

I taught ballet, jazz, musical theatre, lyrical, and creative movement to competitive and recreational students aged 2-18. I choreographed for yearly recitals and choreographed/assistant directed the musical theatre program.

As a teaching artist, I taught an after-school outreach program for non-dancers in grades K-6, which focused on exploring movement as a means for self-expression and physical activity. At the studio, my duties included teaching musical theatre, ballet, and organizing summer camp performances.
